Part of Sumatra was burned because of the early and dry season caused by El Nino weather phenomenon. In 2007,there were 1,218 hot spots again caused by El Nino.Kk,now many people must think what is El Nino.El Niño-Southern Oscillation (abbrieviated as ENSO and commonly called simply El Niño), is an intensification of monthly or seasonal fluctuations in the air pressure difference between Tahiti and Darwin. Almost twice as many hot spots have been detected in Sumatra as at the same time last year and the year before. 2,248 hot spots were detected by the satellite on Tuesday, compared to 1,229 hot spots last year and 1,218 in 2007. The last bad haze year for Singapore was in 2006, when the drier weather conditions from a moderate E1 Nino saw an increase in forest clearing activity. That year, the hot stop counted in Sumatra hit 12,014 and our country, Singapore, experienced the worst haze ever in a decade.
bye now.
