Personal Respose1:Racial Harmony

I think that racial harmony is all about different type of races having a harmony day.
it is about different type of races not fighting, shouting and yelling at each other.
we can misunderstand by talking different languages, because if the malay talk with their language, we will think that they are saying something bad about us. And we may get into fight.
But now we can commnicating using english, we will not misunderstand each other again.
i think Rajah should encourage people communicating using english. rajah can encourage other people to learn english. They will be using the same language to communicate.
we can tell them to be friend, so that singapore will a harmony country.
In school, we can ask them to be our friend. so we will be a harmony school.

Reflection:Looking Forward

My last test was CA1, i have scored 18 and half for english.
i feel so sad, when my mum saw this paper she don't dare to believe it.
But she didn't scold me, she sat down and tell what's wrong.
My father did that too,i was so sad.
I promise i will do do better by going to mrs Azhar free lesson with us on thurs.
i score 33 and half for maths, my mum was not so happy with my result, she ask me to get 40 next time. i must work hard enough, i will have to revise my work everyday.
i am not able to0 play anything unless i get better mark.
i got 33 and half for normal chinese, but my parent didn't not blame for this mark because they know i have to study higher mother tongue as well. i am not happy with this result because my teacher still blame me she said that i should at least get 40 . i am so stress.for my higher mother tongue i got 31 and half. i am quite happy because the test was so diffcult i willtry to get the best mark that i can get.

Social Defence

Social Defence

The need to maintain social cohesion and maintaining racial and religious harmony in the society and culture of Singapore in the event of a threat is part of the Total Defence plan. Singapore's housing and education policies are designed to integrate different ethnic communities in Singapore with each other in Singapore's schools, housing estates and the workplace with, for example, racial quotas for public housing. 21 July has also been decreed to be Racial Harmony day to stress to Singaporeans the importance of Social Defence.

Psychological Defence

Psychological Defence

The Psychological Defence of Total Defence rests upon the people's pride, patriotism and loyalty to the country, and their commitment to it and its defence in time of crisis.

Military Defence

Military Defence

The most important pillar of Total Defence, Military Defence involves the raising and training of a military force which can serve as an effective deterrent. The bulk of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) are composed of male citizens conscripted (without the option of conscientious objection) into military service. The national service in Singapore was introduced in 1967 to draft all young males for military training and a reserve force was built.
The SAF has also enhanced its capabilities to deal with non-conventional threats such as terrorist bombings, hijackings, and chemical, biological and radiological attacks. The Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive Defence Group was formed in 2003 to provide an immediate response in the event of chemical-biological incidents.

Economic Defence

Econmic Defence

Total Defence asserts the need to strengthen and adapt the economy of Singapore to respond well to and survive any threats. This involves implementing a robust economic system, building up healthy National Reserves and safeguarding financial institutions so that these can continue to function in times of crisis, as well as keeping the economy running smoothly even if the bulk of the workforce is mobilised as part of Military Defence. It also involves citizens continually retraining themselves to stay employable

Civil Denfence

Civil Defence

Civil Defence as an aspect of Total Defence stresses the protection of civilians in the event of a disaster or threat, as well as the involvement of civilians in helping out in emergencies. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) recruits and trains civil defence volunteers in first aid, rescue and emergency evacuation procedures, and shelter management. The SCDF also conducts talks and exercises to familiarise the public with basic first aid, air raid sirens, the location of the nearest bomb shelters, rationing and emergency arrangements like relief supply of critical items such as blood, water and [[food] .

Total Defence

Total Defence

Total Defence is a concept introduced by the government of Singapore in 1984 to improve readiness in matters related to the defence and national security of Singapore, and is partly based on similar concepts in Switzerland, Denmark and Sweden. In fact, the concept has very close similarities (including the “five aspects of Total Defence”, discussed below) to the 1972 adopted Total Defence concept in Austria. This concept rests on the notion that the defence of the country cannot rely only on the regular armed forces. Thus the concept declares that government agencies, private sector organisations and all Singaporeans are to be involved in an effort to deal with security threats facing Singapore. It can be compared to the concept of total war.

Swimming Carnival

Today is the swimming carnival,
we went to the Yio Chu Kang swimming complex.
Some of us bring our swimming costume to the complex so we can change and take part in the game in the middle pool.
The event is taking at the big pool,i play the game once.
After i change, i went to the vending machine and buy the Coke Light.
I bought some seaweed chicken, candies, potato chip and chocolate.
It is not cheap,it cost me $5.5o for all the stuff.
Mrs Azhar, out class teacher is the announcer.
This year Topaz win the overall points.
During the event, i give out the food and drink.
Around 12am, we went back to school,
The school is so nice, they offer us free swensens ice-cream,load of game and let us do whatever we want.
We ask teacher if we can play PSP in class.
She said ok, a lot of boys playing in class,so as me.
i am so proud of Topaz, i hope that we will win next year.
